It is that time again… time for some Monday morning old photos. Today’s set is back to the 1980’s, and early 1990’s. Though there are a few on the Harlem, several of them are from the New Haven Line. Haha, when I don’t recognize photos, I should just ask you. :P Btw, I love Star Trek, and when I talk to my parents I still call it Brewster North, otherwise they’d be confused!
I think those Amtraks are on the Shore Line’s Thames River Bridge in New London. No third rail, no catenary, two tracks, and what I think is I-95 to the left.
The new M8s can (and probably someday will) run to New London as Shore Line East trains, but won’t grace this bridge with their presence short of going to Providence.
The “snowy scene” photo shows a West-bound M-N train of MU coaches at the NY-CT State Line , crossing over the Byram River into Port Chester.
The building on the right is the former Life Savers factory which was constructed next to the Port Chester freight-yard, the tracks of which extended into the Life Savers factory.
